There's loads of different reasons for using blogs. I mainly use Facebook for my use of social media at the moment, it's pretty much a major part of my everyday life and people my age. This may be something for me to remember when I'm trying to make my magazine appeal to my target audience. Oh and Youtube is also another website that my age group still tend to use regularly. These types of blogs are for personal use and allowing others to interact with you easily even if they are on the other side of the world! I don't really do that but my friends do with some of their relatives etc. There is then the business side of blogging, using it for marketing, branding, advertising and things like that. Personal blogging is good because it allows people to reflect their personalities with the different kind of colours and layouts you can choose. This is reflected well in my media class actually where we have all chosen varied layouts for our blogs.
