The main title saying ‘contents’ is situated in the left hand corner which is where typically, the reader first looks so they immediately know which page it is. The colour red also draws attention. The simplistic view of the date ‘01/07’ also looks more sophisticated and neater on the overall layout of the page.
The main image in the centre of the page has been manipulated different to all the other images so that the reader pays more attention to it and knows that it is the main featureAll images have a page number to the left side of them unlike the previous contents page I analysed. The colour use of red and white makes it stand out more against the actual image.
The typical conventions are used for this page with the large main title, main image and then the sub headings for ‘features’ and ‘regulars’. I have seen these sub headings for quite a lot of the contents pages I have analysed and will bear this in mind for when I come to design my own.
Throughout the images and text the brand identity is used with the colours red, black and white which links it back to the front cover. For example, even the image in the bottom right corner has a red lighting included in it.
A more in depth analysis is included in my folder :)
