Codes and Conventions in Content Pages...

After researching contents pages I have managed to gather together some features that I should consider including in my production piece as they seem to be quite consistent in all content pages I have seen.
Most pages have...
- a main image to focus on, even if it isn't that big, it usually relates to the main story line
- the main story line is usually in a bigger font than other story lines.
- sub headings listing topics such interviews, features, special features etc

However, the layout varies a lot and this depends on the genre of the magazine and the age group it is aimed at. For example, the Q magazine contents pages are sometimes more minimalistic and sophisticated compared to an NME content page with just one image to focus on instead of smaller ones.
